2 sowings on the same day!

It rarely happens, as a team we first had to multiply ourselves to prepare everything and then, the day of the planting, divide ourselves to be everywhere supporting and that each planting is done in the best way, and this time I think we did it, it was a very good planting, we always prioritize the agendas of those who want to plant, our approach is to be flexible, because we know that ONE MORE TREE MAKES A DIFFERENCE!

Hands united for a green future

The first to arrive were the Pan American Life team, 30 enthusiastic volunteers including adults and children who, with tools in hand and smiles on their faces, set out to plant 100 native trees.

The atmosphere was filled with laughter and conversation as Benjamín, a member of our team, shared knowledge about the importance of each species selected and gave guidance on how to plant. We had llinllín, aliso, podocarpus, guabas, yalumán, pusupato, cholán, trees that will not only beautify the landscape, but will also contribute significantly to local biodiversity and contribute our grain of sand to the impacts of climate change.

With no time to rest, the morning brought a new surge of energy with the arrival of 40 Acino Pharma employees accompanied by their families, who joined the initiative together with Amazonia Productiva.

Their goal: to plant 42 native trees, which in the end were 48, since we received 5 more trees from the nursery, thank you!

Awakening environmental awareness

What was most striking during these days was the contagious enthusiasm of the participants.

Particularly touching was the attitude of a little girl during the Amazonia Productiva and Acino Pharma day, who not only showed genuine interest in planting her tree, but also asked insistently if she could plant another one, demonstrating that environmental awareness has no age.

Seeing children so committed to nature gives us hope, they are the ones who will inherit this planet and seeing them so involved assures us that we are on the right path.

Signs of rebirth

During the two days, some of the participants had an exciting discovery: a small lagoon inhabited by frogs and small tadpoles (we identified 2 different species), a clear indicator that biodiversity is returning to this area.

This discovery reinforces the importance of the habitat restoration and conservation work being done, demonstrating that efforts are bearing tangible fruit.

The day concluded with well-deserved refreshments for all participants, who left with the satisfaction of having contributed to a greener future for Quito and its inhabitants.

A thank you from the heart

From the foundation, we extend our most sincere thanks to all the volunteers who made this double reforestation day possible.

A special recognition to Amazonia Productiva for their alignment with our mission, and to Pan American Life and Acino Pharma for trusting in our work and joining this noble cause.

The growing commitment of companies and citizens to the environment and the fight against global warming fills us with hope.

Together, by planting one tree at a time, we are building a more sustainable future for generations to come.
